You’re here because
- A diagnosis. A parent's decline. A birthday that lands differently than the ones before it.
- The energy dips, the brain fog, the physical changes that weren't there before.
- The future stops feeling abstract and starts feeling like something you'd better start paying attention to.
- The number of years spent in good health, with strength, cognitive function, and independence intact.

Individualized Nutrition and Lifestyle Strategy for a Longer, Stronger, Better Life
Longevity rarely crosses people's minds until something goes wrong and suddenly the future feels a lot less abstract. A diagnosis. A parent's decline. A birthday that lands differently than the ones before it. The moment when the future stops feeling abstract and starts feeling like something you'd better start paying attention to.
In Emily’s
words
But the adults who age best — who stay sharp, strong, and mobile well into their later decades — almost never start because something went wrong. They start because they decided, at some point, that the next few decades mattered enough to invest in now.
1:1 longevity coaching at HealthierSpan is built for that decision. It's for adults who are paying attention to the subtle shifts — the energy dips, the brain fog, the physical changes that weren't there before — and who are ready to build a nutrition and lifestyle strategy that protects not just their lifespan but their healthspan. The number of years spent in good health, with strength, cognitive function, and independence intact.
The Truth About Aging That Most People Don't Hear
The declines that people attribute to "just getting older" — the muscle loss, the cognitive slowing, the metabolic changes, the bone density reduction, the cardiovascular risk accumulation — these don't start in your 70s. They start in your 30s and 40s, quietly, cumulatively, and almost entirely preventably.
After 40, adults lose an average of 3 to 8 percent of muscle mass per decade. After 60, that rate accelerates. Muscle loss affects metabolism, strength, balance, bone density, insulin sensitivity, and independence. It is one of the most significant predictors of health and function in later life. And it is largely preventable with the right nutrition plan.
The decade-by-decade accumulation of dietary patterns is one of the strongest predictors of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, cognitive decline, and certain cancers. The 40s and 50s are the window where nutrition intervention has the most impact on long-term disease trajectory — before damage compounds, before diagnoses arrive, and while the body still responds robustly to change.
What's actually encouraging about this is that you have far more control over your healthspan than you've been led to believe. The part that requires honesty is that the strategies that matter most require intention, consistency, and a plan that's created from your genuine life — not a generic longevity checklist.
What Makes Our Approach Different Longevity Coaching
Everything begins with a 60-minute deep-dive assessment. We map out your vision for the next year and beyond. We review your health history, your current labs, your eating patterns, your lifestyle, and your goals. Then we build a complete, customized strategy that addresses every aspect of your healthspan:
Nutrition for longevity. Anti-inflammatory eating patterns that reduce the chronic low-grade inflammation driving most aging-related disease. Gut microbiome health and its role in immunity, cognition, and metabolic function. Fasting and time-restricted eating — when it's appropriate, when it isn't, and how to implement it safely. Caloric adequacy and nutrient density — eating less without becoming nutritionally depleted. Supplement strategy for healthy aging — what the evidence actually supports.
Muscle preservation and physical function. Individualized protein targets based on your body weight, age, activity level, and goals. Practical strategies for hitting protein needs. Meal timing and distribution of protein across the day for maximum muscle synthesis. Resistance training nutrition. Creatine, omega-3s, and other backed by peer-reviewed research supplements for muscle preservation. Bone health nutrition.
Metabolic health optimization. Blood sugar stability, insulin sensitivity, lipid management, blood pressure support through nutrition. The dietary patterns with the strongest evidence for cardiovascular disease prevention, diabetes prevention, and metabolic health preservation.
Cognitive health and brain nutrition. The MIND diet and brain-protective nutrition. Omega-3 fatty acids, B vitamins, and the nutrients most strongly linked to cognitive preservation. Sleep nutrition and its role in cognitive function and neurodegeneration prevention.
Hormone optimization. Nutrition strategies that support hormonal health through perimenopause, menopause, andropause, and beyond. The nutritional interventions that support hormonal balance, body composition, energy, and vitality at every stage.
What clients say
1:1 clients, in their own words. Initials and ages only.
Honestly, I just wanted someone to tell me what to eat. Instead, she asked me what mattered to me and why I kept ignoring my health. A year later, my cholesterol is better, my doctor’s appointments go better, but most importantly I feel capable again.
What surprised me was how much we talked about my actual life—my schedule, my stress, why I was skipping meals then binging at night. Now I meal prep without thinking about it, and I actually have energy to do things after work.

What's your stance on GLP-1s for weight loss?
I’m neither pro nor anti GLP-1. I’m pro-strategy.
GLP-1 medications can be highly effective tools when used appropriately. They also come with risks. Both are true.
My job isn’t to tell you whether or not to take them. It’s to help you make informed decisions and ensure you’re protecting your muscle, bone, brain, and metabolic health throughout the process. If you’re taking a GLP-1 without a strategy, you need one. Start with the GLP-1 nutrition coaching page.
What's included in your programs?
All of it: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, hormones, gut health, metabolic function, biomarkers, supplements, mindset, and habit formation.
I’ll equip you with whatever tools you’re missing. We also strategize for doctors appointments, work together to find specialists, personal trainers, etc to leave no stone unturned.
Holistic doesn’t just mean we talk about everything, it means we understand how everything connects. Your body is one system. Poor sleep drives poor food choices. Chronic stress impacts your gut health. Inflammation affects your energy and metabolism.
We identify what’s actually driving your symptoms, address root causes instead of just managing symptoms, and build sustainable strategies that last.
How long are your programs?
It depends on your goals and situation.
The 1:1 program is 3 months with 10 sessions, weekly at first and then every other week. The couples program is 6 months with 16 sessions. Group programs run 6 weeks with weekly sessions, and the wedding glow up is 6 weeks.
We’ll discuss the right timeframe for you during our initial conversation.
How do I get started?
